I was startled by the following comment, presumably by a Uniting Church congregant...
"It's biting in the congregations," the worshipper said. "A good example is a bloke in rural Victoria who was told by his mates 'so you're in the poofter church now'."
To my mind this has no helpful bearing on the RA's position - and just underlines the ignorance out there...
Or maybe its another press beat-up (kind of like Idol - whoops, shouldn't have said that)
