I studied Justice and Ethics, an answer from that background would differ from one 
arrising from the study of politics and
media.

The christian experience is that Truth and integrity are costly, even ultmately 
costly. The answer depends on how much the
truth costs, and if one is prepared to pay such a price. Where is the greater cost - 
and I do not mean financial but cost
in terms of people and their well being (which seems to be the concern of Jesus) over 
personal gain, sectarian interests,
greedy agendas and power struggles?
