I tend to agree with Geoff. I certainly thought that phase 3 had possibilities:
COURAGE Focuses on empowering girls for the next step: 1. Tapping into the entrepreneurial spirit; moving from dreams to reality; doing a business plan; marketing and micro-enterprise development 2. Making the transition from school and identification of gifts and talents. However, I am not convinced that Hills will actually do this well. I am constantly amazed by plunge necklines, short skirts, clinging clothes, amazing makeup and jewelry that many young women from pentecostal churches wear around campus. Most of them seem to emulate the clothing that gets movie and pop stars into the "who's wearing what" section of women's magazines and their dress style is far more over the top than that of most other young women. I am sure they attract male attention and many of them are probably not equipped to deal adequately with the kind of male attention they're likely to attract. Not that I expect them to look dowdy just because they're Christian and I know that current fashions tend towards short, tight etc, but there's short and tight and too short and too tight. They seem to be inclined toward the latter in significantly higher proportions than young women from most other groups on campus. Their churches don't seem to be giving them any helpful guidelines on this one. Of course, Hills may be different. Gee, I must be getting old!!! :-) Judy > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Geoff Hurst > Sent: Friday, 6 February 2004 7:31 PM > To: 'Stephen Webb'; 'insights-l' > Subject: RE: shine > > > Hmmm...
