just on the side i find it funny that people like the guys who were doing the late late service stuff in adelaide (www.tollsonline.org) and the guys at cafechurch in glebe who have been slogging it out for a while now... some for over 10 years...
anyhow, im always surprised at how little these "touching places" or "new ventures" in australia connect with people like them...
its like the newest thing, many many many different people wanting to put out their own emerging church website... the best one is actually http://www.alternativeworship.org/ because they did the work to hunt us all down and talked with us about their plans...
the a to z thing on that site is not new, its the basis of leanard sweets new and fantastic book "a is for abductive."
its almost like everyones trying to box what an emerging church is, trying to grasp, learn how do do this thing, try to study it rather than going out and doing.
the danger of spending lots of time reading these things and trying to understand them is that you dont get out and do it for yourself...
ok, my whinge is over... for now...
