From Michael Jeffrey, Acting Director, Youth and Children’s Ministry Unit (YACMU), Queensland Synod.

Regional Youth and Children's Ministry Workers

The Queensland Uniting Church Youth and Children's Ministry Unit is wishing to appoint two Regional Youth and Children's Ministry Workers.  These workers will join a dynamic staff team dedicated to providing effective ministry support in the areas of advocacy, education and training with children, youth, early adults, and their leaders and families.

The workers will minister strategically with congregations across one region of Queensland and also offer resource ministry to the wider church in a specialist area such as high school age youth ministry, Christian education or emerging church.  Part of the worker's responsibilities will include resourcing one particular congregation or agency in youth and children's ministry.

The persons appointed will have passion and vision for resourcing and supporting families, leaders and their congregations.  They will be entrepreneurial, energetic and creative.  They will be willing to work within the ethos of, and under the discipline of, the Uniting Church in Australia.  The positions are open to specified youth workers, lay workers, ordained or other suitably gifted persons.  Experience and training in appropriate disciplines is helpful.

The positions available are in North Queensland and the Darling Downs.  For a position description and further enquiries contact Kylie Ellis, Administrator, Youth and Children's Ministry Unit on [EMAIL PROTECTED] or phone 07 3377 9782.  Please send expressions of interest to The Director, Youth and Children's Ministry Unit, GPO Box 674, Brisbane, QLD, 4001.  Applications close 30 June 2004

Regards,

Bruce
