special ways of holiness

We often get requests for help from religious studies students.   This one I am throwing to the too hard basket (you lot on insights-l).   If your answers are good I’ll add them to our for schools section.   A year 12 student doing a Studies of Religion 2 unit course has been given the question: "Are special ways of holiness and ordinary ways of holiness as important to people today as they were in the past?" Are there any sites from which one can obtain quotations from various religious leaders on the topic and perhaps gain a view on the past?   My ordinary ways of holiness are pretty rare and therefore special to me.   Stephen
