Greetings Greg and others,

 

One additional thing that might fill out the background a little is that apparently Blue Care run a number of aged care facilities in Northern NSW (as part of the Gold Coast region) on behalf of the NSW Synod...yes there is cooperation across Synod boundaries!

 

It might be that the services have just started sending congregations in northern NSW the Blue Care info...as part of the task of talking with and connecting with congregations.  Perhaps that is how you got that newsletter.

Oh, but I did. The point is, why did I have to look further into the site? It

should have been obvious from first sight. And what's this about building

bridges between Blue Care and the Church?  Isn't this an *agency* of the Uniting

Church in the first place?

 

Yes, it is about wearing badges! The Uniting Church cops a lot from its

detractors without this kind of subtle erosion of its identity. I am sure that

those who would like to bring the Uniting Church down would be happy for this

obfuscation of its admirable social actions.
