Dear All Over the last few years I have set up stalls at several municipal community festivals and a Church Fete with the aim of promoting the wider Uniting Church, including services provided by UnitingCare.
On each occasion time was spent finding out what was available, what I had to develop as well as collecting and returning material. I put a proposal to the Maroondah Presbytery that we should purchase display items and equipment that can readily be used to promote the wider Uniting Church. This was approved, where we are at is described at http://www.maroondahpresbytery.unitingchurch.org.au/promotionalmaterial.html I am talking to UnitingCare and potentially Uniting Justice to see what resources can be included (or developed). Our Presbytery covers a number of muncipalities, many with community festivals, and how many congregations have a Church Fete, but miss the opportunity to tell our wider story.
