G'day All, As no one else has had a stab at this (not on list anyway) I thought I would throw in one idea:
Start by trying to find out what it is that draws 'Fred' to church, what is his favourite thing about church, what influenced him to be a church member in the first place, etc, etc. Maybe that will present a starting place (or maybe reveal a blockage) to a deepening faith. But don't expect a quick fix either - patience.
