Thanks Long, looks like it makes sense to pull from the forked repositary as you suggest - certainly not worth the effort in setting up to pull from local machine.
Didn't know you could pull from a public clone, that seems to me to be the best way to go. Looks like I'm all set with Git now, thanks for the assistance.
