Hi all, as I've been working with the activities in insoshi, I've realized that you can't really assign different activities to the same item. This is as I've seen it because on the feed and mini feed, we have a case statement to show different messages based on the item_type. I think this could be fixed if we added some extra_information on the activity, may be some "Activity code", that could differentiate it from other activities on the same item.
This is in something that I need right now, because activities is what keeps the community "moving". It could also be good to associate multiple items and people on an activity, but that should be more complicate and I don't need this functionality right now, although if someone has given it a thought may be we can do something about it. Also the feed helpers are growing a lot, and if we start registering many different types of activities (10-30 more) I don't know if it's going to be maintainable (I'm speculating here a bit), but also don't know where we could fit this. Anyway I would really like to hear your opinions as I have to get working on this soon, but I would really like to do some solution that's flexible and can solve other people problems too, and I bet you can have some good ideas I haven't thought about.
