I had had already merged with edge, great work!! I had a lot of comflicts because I have quite custom layouts and menu items, we didnt really like the tabbed user profile and had to redo profile templete from scratch hope this does not mess up future code merges :S
My recomendation is to: Read all the code you can before making modifications Follow the insoshi way Try as much as you can to add functionality onto modules or new sections Actually it would be nice that there was a hay to hook custom sections to insoshi without having to modify base insoshi code. For example hook onto search or comments controller or add a menu item without goining deep into menu helper.
