I have a project that should be built upon insoshi, that will require about 100-200 hours for an experienced rails/ insoshi programmer. Deadline is fairly flexible, with some work that can be done over the next three months, then another three months where we put everything together more definitively.
Background: The website is for an "academic citation" service. Aside from the standard insoshi aspects of any website (such as authentication, a minimal small blog feature, the ability of users to leave small comments in certain places, etc.---most of which can be taken almost-verbatim from railspace or insoshi), the unique aspect of this website is the maintenance, editing, linking, etc., of citation records. Any enhancements to the standard aspects of railspace should and have to be open source, of course. Only the citation records aspects of the system may possibly remain closed-source. It is not that I mind to open it, too. (Given the specificity, I doubt that it would be useful to anyone else, anyway.) It's more that it would just be a pain to deal with open source requests, and I do not believe it would be of help to anyone in the community.
