Hello, I started learning Haml and Sass (still am) and wanted a sample project to work on, so I chose Insoshi. I have migrated Insoshi to use Haml instead of Erb and have also converted the Css files to use Sass. The project is on github at the following address:

If you want to try it, by all means fork it, download it, etc. Any problems, let me know. I am only a beginning Haml/Sass user so I may not be able to answer every question that you have, but will give it a shot. Something very positive about Insoshi: it is very well written and translating it to Haml and Sass was relatively straightforward. The Haml version that I used is 2.0.6, though version 2.0.7 has been released. I installed it as a plugin. Insoshi Views do appear to render faster in haml than Erb! I have not done any scientific benchmarking yet though. May be an interesting project. Hope you all like it.
