"Politicians vs Christians" During the intensity of the past election, a local politician sent me a list of "Five Things You Can Do In The Home Stretch." As I looked these over, God impressed me of "Five Things Every Christian Should Do." 1. The local politician said I should "place a sign in my yard to let your neighbors who you will vote for." God said I should let my witness of the Lord Jesus Christ show in my neighborhood to let them know Who is Lord of my life. 2. The local politician said I should "make a donation to his campaign." God said I should tithe 10% of my income. 3. The local politician said I should "put a sticker on my car showing everyone I identify with his party." God said I should have that "something in my life that identifies me with the Lord Jesus Christ." 4. The local politician said I should "call five friends and convince them to vote for him." God said I should visit five people a week and explain to the them the simple plan of salvation. That if you shall confess the Lord Jesus Christ with the mouth and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the mouth confession is made and with the heart man believeth unto righteousness. 5. The local politician said I should "vote for him on November 3. For those who cannot vote on November 3, make sure you get an absentee ballot." God said Christians should be faithful to His house every Sunday.
