How to avoid clock skew

Does anybody know of how to avoid the clock skew after a resume. This happens
on a Inspiron 3000 with Linux 2.0.35 (with rtc), Xaccel, using Bios A05. The
strange thing is that it sometimes does not happen (so it can't be just X).
