I overwrote the XF86Config with XF86Config.neomagic, and ran XF86Setup.
During the Xfree install I was asked if I would like the installer to create
a symbolic link for me, which it did, to SVGA. When I try to replace said
link, though, I get execve errors.

Did you install the xf86config. file that comes with the XBF neomagic
drivers? You also have to reset one or two symlinks that point to the
server executalbe. You are probably still trying to execute the
original SVGA server.
