I have Linux 5.1 on my I3000, working with 3COM 3C589D EtherLinkIII PC Card. My
BIOS is set with PnP enabled, however, because I also run NT4 on the same
notebook, I set interrupts manually (via BIOS) for other system devices, ie.
serial port, sound, etc.
Check the attached word97 doc and compare your BIOS settings to mine. The only
difference is when I boot into Linux, I must first enter the BIOS and enable
PnP - everything else remains the same.
Also, make sure you're running an up to date version of Card Services on Linux.
