Hello... I would appreciate any help I can get...
I've been trying to do a FTP installation of RH5.1 on a Dell Inspiron
3000. The PCMCIA network cards available are 3C589C, 3C589D, 3C562.
My problem is that during the installation, the system becomes frozen
during the
"starting PCMCIA services..." message.
I've searched the archives, but there only seem to be solutions to fix
PCMCIA AFTER installation. I cannot install via CD-ROM... as I don't
have one... My company has the distribution on the local network
available via FTP. Plus, I don't have the cables to connect both CD-ROM
and floppy drive at the same time.
The PCMCIA controller is TI PCI-1131.
ANY HELP AT ALL would be appreciated.. as I've spent most of today
working on this with no progress.... and it needs to be done soon. (it's
for work)
