Greetings All, On an Inspiron 3000, there is one external PS/2 connector - allowing either an external keyboard OR mouse to be used. On some other brand notebooks (ACER), you can connect a Y PS/2 cable, which splits this single port into 2 PS/2 ports - allowing both external keyboard AND mouse *simultaneously*. I tried one of these cables on my I3000 but it didn't work. My question? Has anyone successfully got this sort of thing to work? Dell do not sell such a cable, and even claim that it can't be done - I suspect that they would rather I buy a port replicator :) If someone out there has successfully achieved this, I would appreciate some details. Oh, and please, no suggestions about using the serial port for the mouse. regards, ./edy --- http://nts.ml.org list archives http://nts.ml.org/inspiron/maillist.html To unsubscribe send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List administrator: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
