Might I mention that the only solution to the neomagic chipset as of about
3 months ago was the XGi solution also? And no more than 3 or 4 months
after the card shipped there was a redhat solution. If you are short on
money, you may want to hold off for about 3 or 4 months (run at the low
resolution) and wait for the chipset to be supported..it will be, it'll
just take time.

Steve,
As far as I know, the only current solution is to buy
Xi Graphic's Laptop Accelerated X Server for $160
from www.linuxmall.com. I do not think that the ATI
Rage Pro LT is yet supported through XF86.......
Hey out there, is this really a fact?
I bought the server after a trial download from www.xig.com
I think that it's worth it. Why spend almost $4000 for a
notebook and then bicker about $160, when you get
accelerated performance at full resolution and depth.
My only regret is that they have not put out an OpenGL
Laptop version.
