Not really.  My experience is with i7k. I repartitioned the hard drive,
installed Linux, then I used the Win98 CD that came with thsystem to reinstall
Win98. At first, I did run into problem because it would not format a dos
partition created by Linux fdisk. (There is some interesting information about
fdisk from different OS's, see fdisk man page.) Finally, I redid fdisk from
Win98 setup, but touching only the dos partition; then Win98 reinstalled fine.
