I did get my PCMCIA services running and am now connected to the Internet.
I'm connected via a Linksys Etherfast PC card.  I did not have to do
anything special for it to be recognized once PCMCIA was up, but I did have
to remove my 3Com 56K modem.  I imagine that when I formally install the
modem, they will all work together.
