There are two ways. One is to include atm0 (should be the no modem sound
config option, with other values being on until cd, always on, always
off). There is a volume option, but it's not there in PCMCIA cards
because laptops do that for you. You could also use aumix -p 10 or aumix
-p 5 (that being the internal speaker volume which is redirected to the
sound card on the laptop but still controlled seperately).
BTW to all those who don't know, the aumix -p [percentage] command can be
used to turn the loud no-chars-in-buffer-backspace beep down or off as
well as any other internal speaker stuffs. aumix -w for the wavetable
general sound card thing. aumix -q to see where you are. It's all good.
Is wordperfect already out? I thought they said they'd send me something
about it as soon as it came out. Or is that wp8? whatever.
