In early December I used Dell's home page,

  http://commerce5.euro.dell.com/dellstore/default.asp?N=36&C=35&M=gbp&L=en&S=ukbsd

to order an Inspiron 7000 300LT. I also ordered a Targus Back Pack
from Dell in the same order. On their web page it states the back
pack costs an additional #3. Now, because this is such a small
additional amount to pay, I assumed that it was as a replacement for
the Leather Carry Case that is bundled in with the Inspiron 7000
300LT.

After a few days I received confirmation of my order in four seperate
letters. One letter confirmed the Inspiron 7000 300LT details and, to
my surprise, included the Leather Carry Case. The other three letters
contained details of the Targus Back Pack at various prices.
Concerned that I was about to receive four carry cases I contacted
Dell. I explained that I wanted a Targus Back Pack instead of the
leather carry case and they said they would sort it out.

I received my Inspiron a week or so ago. It came with a Leather Carry
Case and a Targus Back Pack!! I was only charged an extra #3 for the
back pack.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it a genuine bargain or has
Dell gone mad? (I note that their web page has not changed since I
made my order)

If any wants to buy a Leather Carry Case or Targus Back Pack I'll
accept offers around #60 ;-)
