How did you restart? After doing luactivate, you _must_ restart using either "init 6" or "shutdown." You cannot use reboot, halt, or uadmin to finish the switch. Note that if you're using Solaris 10, you're not using OpenSolaris, and you should be contacting your local support representative or (perhaps) one of the Solaris 10 groups -- such as those on BigAdmin.
