Hi All,

I do have following partitions:

/dev/sda1 1 1958 15727603+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 1959 3263 10482412+ bf Solaris
/dev/sda3 * 3264 9729 51938145 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/sda5 3264 5352 16779861 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda6 5353 5417 522081 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda7 5418 7506 16779861 83 Linux (FC9)
/dev/sda8 7507 8811 10482381 83 Linux (OpenSuSE 11.1)
/dev/sda9 8812 9729 7373803+ 83 Linux (kbuntu 8.04)

My questions are:

a) How to restore the GRUB of the existing installation using the OpenSolaris
2008.11 LiveCD?
b) BOOT flag changed by OpenSuSE 11.1 installer to /dev/sda3. I don't remember
the actual BOOT flag after installing OpenSolaris 2008.11 on the existing
Windows XP disk. I think it was on /dev/sda1. Should I toggle the BOOT flag to
/dev/sda1 before restoring the OpenSolaris 2008.11 GRUB?

Please help, else I've to re-install everything which takes hell lot of time,
huh!

Thanks,

bulava
