Is it possible to install OpenSolaris as the 2nd os leaving my Linux (Fedora
10) as the primary os? I have found through google ways that make OpenSolaris
as the primary install and then any other os as the second install and grub is
setup to boot the 2nd os through the chainloader command. To clarify here is my
hdwe configuration:

MoBo = Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5
embedded single channel IDE interface; 6 SATA ports(for RAID config otherwise
only 4 ports can be used as standard IDE config)
CPU = AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
RAM = 4GB DDR2 800MHz
Video = Radeon HD3650 PCIe
Option Cards = PCI Dual port IDE PATA
HDD 0 250GB - Master of single port IDE
DVD-ROM - Slave of single port IDE
HDD 1 160GB = SATA Port 0
HDD 2 500GB = SATA Port 1
HDD 3 500GB = SATA port 2
HDD 4 80GB - Master of 1st IDE PATA port on PCI card
DVD-RAM - Slave of 1st IDE PATA port on PCI card

HDD 0 currently contains Fedora 10 with GRUB installed into the MBR. I want to
install OpenSolaris onto HDD4 the 80GB. I originally had in trying to install
OpenSolaris had HDD0 and HDD4 reversed and was able to boot osol and saw that
GRUB as installed by osol saw my original F 9 install as a Windows install and
configured itself to option boot it using rootnoverify, chainloader commands. I
have since switched it around as originally listed above and am wondering if I
reinstall osol onto what is now HDD4 the 80GB, will I be able to do leave the
MBR on HDD0 the 250GB and chainload +1 to boot osol? If I can what do I need to
do during the install to prevent the installer to change the MBR?

Sorry for the length of my request and if it is not clear as to what I'm
asking, please let me know.

TIA
Scott
