This was on a Dell T105 with the broadcom ethernet disabled - and a PCI
nVidia
graphics card.

Monitor is on the nVidia, rather than the integrated ATI (that you can't
turn off).

The initial boot went OK with the grub screen and the initial
OpenSolaris copyright
displayed, but after that things go wrong with the cursor at the bottom
of the screen.

It moves around from side to side when you press return, Ctrl-C etc.

Having taken the graphics card out and booted with the display on the
integrated
graphics, I suspect that the boot was going normally and asking me for
the zone and
keyboard type - but only on the integrated graphics.

Every other OS that I tried on the machine before the card came out (eg
Vista and
OpenSuse) worked OK - I believe the text mode stuff goes to both cards
and the
graphics favours an addin card rather than integrated, which seems a
decent default
even if I might want to reconsider if playing with Cuda.

Would it be straightforward to fix? It was certainly confusing, not
least the inconsistency
between the grub/copyright display and the behaviour as soon as any
interaction is
needed.
