What kind of optical device are you using? An external usb connected dvd writer device perhaps? I had such a problem with an ASUS M2N-SLI deluxe mainboard, and an usb dvd-writer device: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6513165 A BIOS upgrade fixed the problem. Or using an internal P-ATA connected optical dvd device. > I tried going to single user mode but I get an error > 15 file not found. What exactly did you try to get into single user mode? Error 15 seems to be "file not found", so whatever you tried loading couldn't be found on the media... > I think the problem is because I'm using disks that > use to have Gentoo Linux with a grub. Not when you try to boot from the optical media. It shouldn't look at the HDD contents when booting from the dvd. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
