Most applications that install on solaris install manpages as part of the installation. i.e they write into /usr/share/man/ However in case of sparse root zones since /usr filesystems are not writable I need to ensure that ONLY for sparse -root - zones the install process doesnt try to write to the /usr/share/man directory .
