For instance, if you have problems with X & Gnome come up, you could install remotely - you just need to boot LiveCD into text mode (2nd entry in GRUB), login as jack/jack and enable ssh: $ pfexec ssh Then you could launch the installer remotely from other machine: $ ssh -X jack@<machine_to_install> password: jack $ pfexec /usr/bin/gui-install But without having more information about what kind of issue you try to solve, it is hard to determine, if that approach might address your problem.
