i recently aquired and completly wiped a toshiba Satielite M36-S369 and am
trying to dual boot it with a open solaris disk i have and windows. windows ran
fine solaris on the other hand stopped working at 99%. i googled it its a known
problem with 2008.11
i waited for 3 hours eventually shut the compuer down tested windows it worked
solaris boots and grub is there works fine solaris comes with boot errors when
i run it till i get to log on console where i attempt to log my user in and it
errors out say the home directory is non-existant tired to make a new user by
booting into single user mode. but i really couldnt figure out what to do from
that point. do i need to attempt to reinstall opensolaris maybe with a
different iso? im downloading one as i speak. or does anyone know a simpler way
to fix my issue and get my user logged on to see if i dual booted the machine
suceessfully.

by the way, i have no idea if this is on the compatbitly list windows was
messed up on this machine.
