Hi Apollok,
Solaris 10 uses grub to load different systems on the computer.
After installation, there should have a grub GUI to select the system
you want to start, including Windows. Which version of Solaris 10 you
want to install? The official released one? or the update release?
If you want to install Solaris on your family computer and use it, I
recommend the latest development build of Solaris. It contains the
latest applications, features, more device drivers, etc. You can get it
from here: http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/solaris-express/get.jsp
