Hi,

I have installed Open Solaris on Sun x86 servers without any trouble. However,
when I use the same DVD to install it on Desktop, I get an error.

After selecting Solaris interactive install from the List of install
options, the install hangs up and I can see the following text on screen,

---CUT---
Cannot Create /var/dt/sdtlogin directory for display manager pipe: No such file

This is where the installation hangs. I have tried the text mode installtion
using console too. The installation completes when I use the text mode using
console. But after installation, when the system reboots, I do not see the
login screen. Instead I just see the login prompt.

What is going wrong?
