We too are running into this issue of maintaining and deploying two flash archives, namely sun4u and sun4v platforms.
What's the final conclusion for doing this? Do it the way the bigadmin tip suggests? or can we do this: * create only a sun4u flash archive (which we currently do) * install sun4u flash archive on sun4u platforms * install sun4u flash archive + install all *.v packages using Jumpstart's finish script + reapply Solaris Patches on sun4v platforms Have others done this? and is this supported by Sun?
