If this is the case, we may want to consider alternate options for rollback, as there are applications where one may not want to use ZFS as the root filesystem. (Yes there are some). :)
(For those of you that are confused about the whole Conary vs ipkg issue. I am going to investigate both paths. Clearly there is inertia behind ipkg, and if nothing else, the development of the system provides a platform for discussing various aspects of packaging systems.) I hope at the end, we will have the best packaging systems available for use with OpenSolaris, and that Conary and ipkg get better for the experience of evaluating both. Currently we have: 1) SVPKG and pkg-get (Native packaging + Blastwave) 2) .deb w/ apt-get (Nexenta) And are evaluating: 1) Conary 2) ipkg (Image packaging system. I still am rolling forward with a Conary/OpenSolaris Prototype project, and hope that both projects can contribute to each others goals. -Brian Cheers, -Brian -- - Brian Gupta http://opensolaris.org/os/project/nycosug/
