Hi Georg,

Yes, you can do a live upgrade with the current setup you have. If you
have space allocated you can create the live upgrade BE's and then
upgrade to b76.

The only real thing you need to do is be sure that you have the b76 live
upgrade pkgs, SUNWlur, SUNWlucfg, SUNWluu installed on the current
running BE so that any features or bug fixes in live upgrade will be
handled appropriately for the release you are upgrading to.

A few quick hints on how to setup your BE environment:

lucreate -c c0d0 -m /:/dev/dsk/c0d1s0:ufs -n c0d1

This sets up the initial running BE an the alternate BE for the device
you specify. Obviously you have to change this to reflect your device
and system setup.

Then to upgrade you:
-remove the above pkgs from the current running BE
-Add the pkgs from the build you are upgrading to as noted above to the
current running BE
-Run luupgrade:

luupgrade -u -n c0d1 -s /export/scratch/x86_nv

In this example I am upgrading c0d1 BE to the latest image I have stored
at the location specified by -s.

looking at the man pages is also a good place to start. lucreate,
luupgrade, lumake.
