Mudit: With your own flar image, what OS is your flar image build on ? Is it S8 or S10 ??
For flash retrieval with jumpstart, you have to use the OS image that your flar image is build on to do the retrieval. You cannot use S8 to retrieve S10 flar image and vice versa. The other way is to use live upgrade to retrieve flash image onto another alternate BE. You will need to do the lucreate with -s - option. Then retreive the flash archive via luupgrade -f option.
