Correct, I never said that it could not. I merely pointed out that
right now, the behaviour is not wholly incorrect.

Solaris historically was intended to be the sole operating system
installed, and the current installation process still reflects that
choice.

Hence why it also still requires a primary partition, etc. and so on.

You should not misconstrue my reply as an attempt to discourage your
post. But rather, as an attempt to point what many others already have
-- that this is a work in progress and posting redundant comments
about areas that already being addressed may not be the most
productive.
