Hi Gerard, First, you should be sure you look at the docs for data on how to use jumpstart:
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-5506?q=jumpstart Can you give me a few more details on how you are using jumpstart: 1. Are you booting from a network image or cd/dvd? 2. Where is your profile located, in a network location or on a floppy drive? 3. If your profile is on the network how did you specify this data when running add_install_client? If it is on a floppy is the profile in the top level directory? thanks, sarah **** Gerard Henry wrote: > hello, > I'm trying to jumpstart a T2000 machine with solaris 10 6/06, and want to use > your hint. > But: > - /tmp/.jumpstart doesn't exist on the client > - /sbin/install-solaris give many errors: > Executing begin script "install_begin"... > Begin script install_begin execution completed. > /sbin/install-solaris: pfinstall: not found > Executing SolStart postinstall phase... > Executing finish script "patch_finish"... > > Can't open /cdrom/.cdtoc > mkdir: Failed to make directory "/a/var/sadm/patch"; No such file or directory > > > Thanks for help, > > gerard > > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > install-discuss mailing list > install-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/install-discuss > >
