I have upgraded to build 48 to see if this helps. I understand that b48 included support for 8086,1096. The OS did not see the device. Ran scanpci a three times, third time hardware rebooted.
I suspect this is a BIOS / hardware problem. I doubt that the BIOS is correctly reporting the device to Solaris. This message posted from opensolaris.org
