Hi,

I am trying to solve a bug and facing a problem with that.
The bug is (CR# 6421783), when a wrong NIS domain name is entered during
sysid, the sysidns program crashes.
This is not happening in GUI install.
This happens only in text and jumpstart.
And this is not happening in Nevada. It happens only in S10u2 and all
later builds (including the latest).

I have the stack trace and I know which function is causing the problem.
(This function is part of libnsnis.so.1)
Now, if I recompile the source and replace libnsnis.so.1, the crash
isn't happening.
Note that, I haven't done any change to code.

Initially I thought that, this could be due to debug symbols. So, I
stripped the binary.
    Still it din't crash.

So, my question is, why isn't the program crashing, when I just
recompile and replace the binary?
Is the RE compiling the code in a different way?
Is there any way, I can debug this issue?
