Hi all, I noticed something new during a network (upgrade) install from b37 to b38. The install showed "wait for Java environment initialization" (don't remember the exact words), then waited for (felt like) 2 minutes before moved on.
>From user perspective, 2-minute is a long time for an "interactive" process. Is it working as expected? What takes so long exactly? I selected (as always) Option 4 - interactive console text. Install client is an Intel box ( 3GHz CPU, 1 GB memory, SATA disk), server is an old Ultra30, both on the same subnet. Is the time spent at the client, server, or network? This is not a big deal, nevertheless a little annoying and something I didn't see before. Tao
