[install-discuss] pkg missing after nevada b108 install ???

Is there a way to manually install the <pkg> command? I installed b108 which 
initially hung at the GUI but now works after I enabled gdm. <pkg> doesn't 
appear to be on my system. I see that it is in the SUNWipkg package err ... but 
not having the pkg command how do I install it?
