I've been experiencing a strange problem starting approx. with snv_106: when I
mount a SXCE DVD ISO image file, either using just `mount -oro -Fhsfs
/path/to/image.iso /mnt` or going through `lofiadm -a ...` then `mount -oro
-Fhsfs /dev/lofi/N /mnt`, the mount operation succeeds, I can see the entire
directories structure under /mnt, but an attempt to open (for read, obviously)
any file fails with 'I/O error'. The image is absolutely positively isn't
damaged: the checksum is OK and if I burn it to a disk I can then access
everything on it. I used to lofi-mount those ISO images when doing LU to the
next release, but now I'm forced to make physical disks. I noticed a post in
this forum that mentions mounting snv_109 ISO image the usual way, so it seems
to be doable and my problem must be something specific to my environment, but
what? This happened when I tried to mount snv_106 image on snv_105 and snv_109
image on snv_106; at the moment, I can not try any snv_* image on 109 to see if
this oddity is still with me. Does the above ring any bell? Something that is
a known symptom? Thanks!
