The second set of issues reported in this mail (about the output of format) is just normal behavior, I think. A defect list being found is not an problem (in fact, i think that might get printed no matter what, even when the defect list is empty).
As for the problems with the install, sounds like a posslble real problem. Could the submitter please send more details: the output of fdisk, the specific messages from the install and what appeared on the screen when the user tried to edit the disk partitioniong? I don't think that SXCE corrupted the disk, but I'd like to understand why the zfs install failed. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
