I want to use a bunch of Sun software such as Calendar Server and Messaging server, but it is only supported on Solaris 10. I don't like that Solaris 10 needs to have the "Everything" software group to be installed if I want a usable system, and that I can't build a usable system using the "core" software group because the package manager doesn't support automatic dependency resolution. I really want to use Sun software on the newer Solaris, and I imagine it will only be supported when Solaris 11 comes out. Will that ever happen, does anyone have a rough idea when (1 year, 2 years?), or will Sun software forever be frozen on Solaris 10?
