I ended up installing the pkg. It installs in /usr/local. I -NEVER- use
this location so it was very easy to compare these files with the ones
installed by the tarfile in /opt/local Two windows from midnight commander
and all was done fast and neat.

Remains the fact that opera forgot the uninstall rules in their install.sh
script. Plus I dislike the use of /usr/local insteadof /opt/local in their
solaris(!) package.
