Gonna go down the static route for now, and this time it boots a little quicker . I should say I'm not using a fully qualified domain / host setup, I just want to try out some of the solaris development software. I tried both those, then checked the gnome network settings applet which were on dhcp and set it to static. no have rebooted to reply to the forum from windows :(
its odd it hangs on the boot (while looking for the hostname or internet?) will try again and see if its doing anything. does the command: svcadm disable network/physical:nwam turn off nwam for good? mtia This message posted from opensolaris.org
